School Counseling
East Stroudsburg High School-North's Comprehensive School Counseling Program facilitates academic success as well as fosters the development of personal growth and social skills. Additionally, the program aims to assist students in creating a post-graduation plan (college, world of work, or armed services) which aligns with each student’s individualized interests and abilities. These objectives are accomplished by providing individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom presentations on career planning.
The school district is located in Pennsylvania’s beautiful Pocono Mountains incorporating the Monroe and Pike Counties. The school district includes the borough of East Stroudsburg and its university, which enrolls both undergraduate and graduate students. Also located within the district boundaries is the Pocono Medical Center, along with a number of vacation destinations, national park services and state game lands. This area serves as a recreational retreat for the New York and Philadelphia metropolitan areas. East Stroudsburg is a school district with students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
